Privacy Policy

This policy explains what XiHelper ("we") collects, why, and your choices. Contact us at [email protected] with any question.

What we collect

  • Your email address, to deliver your license and to sign you in to the portal by one-time link.
  • Your license key and payment history (amount, plan, date, and the processor's reference).
  • A per-install identifier and, when known, your in-game character name, used to enforce one running copy per key.
  • The app version and a checksum of the app, sent with each check-in to detect tampered copies.
  • Basic technical data from check-ins (such as time and network address) to prevent abuse.
  • Where you came from when you arrive on the site (a campaign tag in the link you followed, or the site that linked to us), kept with your purchase so we know which ads and links work. We do not use ad network trackers.
  • The app's own log of each session, with counts of which of its pages and features you use, unless you turn it off (see Session logs below).
  • When you use an item claim, a report on that claim (see Item claims below).

Session logs

While XiHelper runs, it keeps a log of what the bots did and why, and any errors, and counts which of the app's pages you open, how long each is on screen and how often you use their features. The app sends this log to us in parts as it runs, so that we can see what happened when you ask for help, find bugs that only show up in real play, and see which features are used and what to improve.

  • Chat text is removed on your PC before the log is sent, so the log does not include what you or other players typed in game chat. Other players' chat is only ever sent if you tick the box to include it when you send a bug report.
  • Each part is sent with your licence key, the app version, your server and character name, and the per-install identifier, so we know which session it belongs to.
  • The log is encrypted on your PC before it is sent, with a key only our server holds, so our storage provider cannot read it. We open a session's log only to help you or to fix a problem, and each time one is opened is recorded.
  • Our server also reads each log automatically and keeps only counts from it: how long each bot ran and where, what it killed, caught, dug up or crafted, and how often each page and feature was used, linked to your character and server. We use these counts to see how XiHelper is used and to decide what to improve. The log's text is not kept with them, and the counts never include what anyone typed.
  • We may show totals across all players on our website, such as hours run or fish caught. These are never shown per player, character or server.
  • Each session's log is kept for 90 days after the app last sent part of it, then deleted.
  • You can turn session logs off in the app's Settings. While they are off, the app sends none.

Item claims

When you press Claim on an item claim, XiHelper sends us a report once it has tried to deliver it, so we can confirm it worked: XiHelper's log from the session so far, the game's own messages from the 15 minutes before (never what you or other players typed), and your balances of the claimed currency just before and just after. It is sent with your licence key and the app and plugin versions, and kept with the claim.

What we do not collect

We do not receive or store your card or wallet credentials. Cryptocurrency payments are handled by our payment processor; we only see the result of a payment, not your payment secrets.

How we use it

To deliver and enforce your license, process payments, provide support, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the service: our payment processor, our email provider, and our hosting, storage and database providers. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Advertising

We advertise on Google. Our pages load Google's advertising tag, which uses cookies to tell us whether a visit from one of our ads went on to start a free trial or buy a licence. Google receives the visit and, for a trial or purchase, its order number, never your email or payment details. You can limit this in your Google ad settings or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

Retention

We keep account and payment records for as long as your account exists and as needed for legal and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize them. Session logs are deleted 90 days after the app last sent part of them, or sooner if your account is deleted. The counts worked out from them are kept after that, until your account is deleted. Item claim reports are kept with the claim until your account is deleted.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account ends any active license. You can turn session logs off at any time in the app's Settings; while they are off, nothing about the pages and features you use is sent.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
